One of Beaver High’s students is doing a book drive for the inmates at the local jail.

Senior Tavy Gale, this year’s English sterling scholar, has decided to do this as one of her service projects and to help out the inmates at the jail.

The book drive is from March 11 to March 20 and goes everyday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They are asking for soft cover books only and say that the inmates really like mystery, fantasy, fiction, LDS literature, but any genre of book is appreciated.

“The inmates are very grateful, and I am very glad that I am helping them,” Gale said.

This is a good way for high school student to go and support one of the sterling scholars by donating and also helping out the local inmates.

If you are interested in donating, go to the DWS-DCFS Office Building located at 875 N Main St. at the designated dates and times.
